Medicaid Home Health
Information about Michigan Medicaid Home Health — skilled, intermittent medical services delivered at home.
Medicaid Home Health — What It Is
Michigan Medicaid Home Health involves medically necessary intermittent services provided by licensed skilled professionals. It is NOT the same program as Michigan Home Help.
Families frequently confuse the two — this page is primarily educational to clarify the difference.
Home Help vs. Home Health
These are two different programs:
- •HOME HELP: Personal care and ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.) for eligible Medicaid beneficiaries. Administered by MDHHS. Angels Care is a Home Help agency provider.
- •HOME HEALTH: Medically necessary intermittent skilled nursing, therapy, and associated home health aide services for Medicaid beneficiaries. Administered through Michigan Medicaid. Angels Care does not currently advertise Home Health services.
Program information can change. Eligibility, services, and authorization are determined by the applicable government agency, health plan, or administering organization.
